Position Summary (The Gig):
Are you a seasoned banker with a breadth of industry knowledge and team leadership experience? Are you looking for a change of scenery and different company culture to feel fulfilled in your career? If so, we have a client with an opportunity that could be a good fit for you. As the Commercial Banking Team Lead, you’ll be the key player for this market in retaining and growing your team and in-market relationships.

Responsibilities:
- Leading a team of relationship managers and credit support people.
- Developing commercial loan and deposit business focusing on C&I and CRE (both OO and Investor), as well as Construction, and private loans and lines.
- Must be comfortable self-sourcing business without a lot of internal referrals.
- Working with loans roughly in the $5mm – $40mm+ range.
- Take over a solid portfolio of clients and continuously network and develop relationships inside your portfolio and in the community.
Qualifications:
- At least 10 years of commercial banking experience.
- Must currently be in a management role. This is not the right fit for someone who has never led a production team.
- Must have credit and underwriting knowledge and be able to handle complex C&I credits.
- Must be from San Diego or reside within a reasonable distance of downtown San Diego.
The Pay:
Pay is negotiable depending on a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, perceived ability to bring in business, market involvement, credit & underwriting knowledge, skills and experience, education, and overall polish.
- The salary range is $160k to $220k plus incentives based on production. (this is a player-coach role)
