Job Overview: Senior Commercial Relationship Manager

As a Senior Commercial Relationship Manager, you will deliver a range of services, primarily focused on commercial credits and treasury management, to business clients through proactive business development and relationship management. Your role will involve cultivating relationships with clients managing large and complex businesses, as well as overseeing a high-performing portfolio that may include Commercial and Industrial (C&I) lending and other specialized industry sectors within ag and wine lending.

Key Responsibilities

Revenue Generation: Drive revenue through targeted business development activities, focusing on both existing clients and new prospects.

Relationship Development: Build and maintain relationships with large, complex commercial clients, dedicating time to specialty industry verticals as agreed upon.

Marketing Efforts: Actively market for at least 30-40% of your allotted time on specialized industry verticals and 60-70% on significant C&I opportunities. Negotiate loan terms and conditions within your authority.

Credit Analysis: Prepare and present thorough credit analyses and recommendations for borrowing requests.

Credit Compliance: Conduct regular credit reviews to ensure adherence to policies and regulations. Monitor the loan portfolio for ongoing credit risk management, ensuring accurate risk ratings.

Community Engagement: Promote the Bank and its services through community involvement.

Mentorship: Coach and mentor junior Commercial Relationship Managers and assist in supervising loan support staff.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, security requirements, and government regulations.

Education & Certifications

Required: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience

Required: Minimum of 8 years of experience in commercial credit, analysis, or business development.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

– Proven ability to develop and manage complex business relationships.

– Exceptional relationship management, presentation, and negotiation skills.

– In-depth understanding of local markets.

– Strong financial and analytical capabilities to underwrite and structure commercial credits.

– Comprehensive knowledge of cash management products.

– Familiarity with federal and state laws and regulations regarding commercial lending and appraisal guidelines.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range: $120,000– $170,000 (based on experience)
