The Gig: Recruiter

As a Recruiter at Julison Sell Search Team, you are responsible for using multiple forms of communication (call, text, email, message on LinkedIn, etc.) to recruit qualified candidates for open positions in a timely manner. You will work alongside Executive Recruiters to learn the industry, positions, titles, and motivating factors of the people working in your assigned industry. Julison Sell Search Team specializes in the banking and finance industry. Prior knowledge of banking and/or finance is not necessary, but helpful if you do have some exposure. Currently, we serve clients throughout the Midwest and the West Coast.


You will be expected to research pertinent information regarding the companies, positions, and industries you are working in and build robust relationships with potential candidates. You will discuss possible opportunities with them, qualify them against position requirements, ask about career goals and accomplishments, discuss their motivating factors, etc. You will then present qualified candidates to Executive Recruiters and help coordinate interviews.

The Duties:

Identify high-value candidates who can be proactively marketed to clients and prospects.

Call prospective candidates and introduce them to currently available opportunities.

Make generalized recruiting calls to gather names, generate referrals, gain industry, and company insight, and build brand recognition across JSST’s footprint.


The Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s degree or some higher education is preferred.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to work in a high-energy and fast-paced environment.

Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and pivot quickly as needed.

Learn and use software and technology for client/candidate database email, social media, video conferencing, research, etc.

Eager to learn and work as part of a collaborative team.

Self-motivated & self-sufficient with proven ability to take initiative and desire to make a tangible impact.


The Location:

Ability to work 40 hours per week in an office setting in the Fountain District of Bellingham.


The Pay:

Recruiting at Julison Sell Search Team, you are in control of your earnings. This job takes time to learn and get really good at, but if you follow our process and training, and are a problem solver, a hard worker, and resilient, you can earn more money than most people could anywhere else. Recruiting takes a full four years of full-time work to hone your skills, but even from year one, our recruiters find success and great income. The first three months are the hardest, and it is like drinking from a fire hose. There is so much to learn. 


Our compensation model starts with base plus commission. The base is negotiable for those with relevant experience and education but is generally $3k a month plus a tiered commission structure which allows you to make more in commission the more you produce throughout the year. Pay in the first year varies from recruiter to recruiter. We have had recruiters make anywhere from $47k to $87k in their first year.
